While Sebastian is willing to consider briefs in most areas of the law, he has worked - as either a solicitor and a barrister - in the following areas :​

  • Children’s Court matters (Sebastian has a special interest in these matters having served in his younger years as a youth policy consultant, on the Federal Government’s National Youth Roundtable, as well as a Consultative Committee Member of the Australian Clearing House for Youth Studies at the University of Tasmania).

  • Coronial Inquests & Commissions of Inquiry (have appeared in a number of high profile inquests and inquiries). 

  • Criminal Law.

  • Disciplinary Tribunals.

  • Employment Law/Labour Law/Industrial Law.

  • Education Law.

  • Family Law.

  • Human Rights (e.g. represented Connor McLeod in his complaint against the Reserve Bank in the Australian Human Rights Commission to have tactile markings incorporated on Australian banknotes for the visually impaired).

  • Migration (formerly a Registered Migration Agent).

  • Public Law.

  • Sports Law (e.g. rugby league judiciary and defending high profile sportspeople charged with offences).

  • Wills & Estates (namely contested will matters). 

  • Work Health and Safety.

Sebastian accepts briefs in all Australian states and territories in both metropolitan and country areas. He is open to and familiar with alternative dispute resolution such as conciliations and mediations.
